ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project is aimed for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), aged 7-14. Quality education of students with special needs contributes to the development of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics). Every day, students observe and actively interact with the environment an effort to get to know it as much as possible. By observing and experimenting, they try to understand the world. STEAM encourages pupils to explore real problems, but playfully, with pleasure. STEAM education will take place through daily activities, projects, game experience, activities in natural and virtual environments, activities with special tools. With STEAM integrated into everyday learning, students will be able to enter a variety of different fields with confidence and experience in non traditional thinking. Our project will be integrated into the educational process and implemented throughout the school year. We will teach students with special needs to learn using the STEAM method.

- to work with STEAM method;
- to support our students' creativity, curiosity and inquire;
- to encourage interest in research and experimentation;
- to develop self-expression skills and self-confidence,
- to improve Information Technology and coding skills;
- to promote communication and collaboration with other countries partners;
- to contribute the activities improvement by sharing the good work experience and teach each other.
WORK PROCESS
The project will begin in September and finish at the end of May. The coordinators of the project will starting activities, then the other schools partners propose new ones. All partners are involved in the project work. STEAM activities will be carried out according to plan. The partners will present the results of activities, prepare photos collages, video presentations and share them in the TwinSpace. Students will do activities evaluation every month on special form. We will have video conferences among students and teachers.
September–assignment of tasks among partners, introducing schools, creating the logo and poster;
October–creating handmade poster and a toy-character ,,Minion“, coding activities;
November- math outdoor activities;
December–science with balloons;
January–engineering activities with Lego and tooth picks;
February– technology activities with Web 2.0 tools;
March–experiments of plants;
April–science and experiment of colors
May–investigations of magnets.
EXPECTED RESULTS
Students engage in experiential learning, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. They are gaining a new experience. Project partners share information and exchange good practices of STEAM method. Project activities and work results, we will post on the Twinspace and Websites of the schools. Project final work about STEAM education based on the examples and works presented during the project: e-book, interactive calendar, Website.
